Objects of a Life

Historic pink table, contemporary ceramics, and pink stack of books color story n front of gallery wall.

Some projects are about building something new. Objects of a Life was about honoring what already existed. A couple downsizing from a larger home arrive with decades of accumulated art, antiques, and objects gathered from a life of meaningful travel—pieces with history, weight, and deep personal significance. The challenge was not what to acquire, but how to listen to what was already there.

The home was taken down to the studs and fully reimagined. Furniture was refinished and recovered. Objects were reframed and recontextualized alongside carefully selected new pieces—each chosen to create dialogue with what the clients brought. The result is a layered interior where a gallery wall of eclectic collected works sits comfortably alongside contemporary painting, where a ceramic vase earned on a trip abroad finds new life next to something just discovered, where the old and the new are indistinguishable in the best possible way.
