Objects of a Life

Some projects are about building something new. Objects of a Life was about honoring what already existed. A couple downsizing from a larger home arrive with decades of accumulated art, antiques, and objects gathered from a life of meaningful travel—pieces with history, weight, and deep personal significance. The challenge was not what to acquire, but how to listen to what was already there.

The home was taken down to the studs and fully reimagined. Furniture was refinished and recovered. Objects were reframed and decontextualized alongside carefully selected new pieces—each chosen to create dialogue with what the clients brought rather than compete with it. The result is a layered interior where a gallery wall of eclectic collected works sits comfortably alongside contemporary painting, where a ceramic vase earned on a trip abroad finds new life next to something just discovered, where the old and the new are indistinguishable in the best possible way.

Full interior design and art advisory services guided every decision—from the deep cobalt walls that give the art room to breathe, to the styling of shelves that tell a story in objects rather than decoration. This was a home built from a life already beautifully lived, edited with care and reinstalled with intention.
